“FRYKTORIAS”
Fryktorias were a communication system used in Ancient Greece.
They were towers built on selected mountain peaks, so that one tower could be seen from the next, using smoke or fire signals.
The Municipality of Leros, in collaboration with the Leros Theater Group, brings the Fryktorias to light for the first time on our island.
