If you’re visiting Leros and craving something real — something tasty, traditional, and totally hands-on — join us for a workshop dedicated to one of Greece’s most iconic dishes: spanakopita, the golden, flaky spinach pie that’s found in every Greek kitchen (and every Greek heart).
There’s an art to making spanakopita — from mixing the greens just right, to layering delicate sheets of phyllo by hand. It’s simple, but full of care. And in this workshop, we’ll show you how to make it the way it’s been made for generations.
We’ll welcome you into a traditional Greek house tucked among the trees just outside Lakki — a space full of stories, flavors, and the smell of wood smoke from the oven. That’s where we’ll bake your pies to golden, crispy perfection.
You’ll prepare your own individual spanakopita — mixing fresh spinach, herbs, and feta, learning how to layer and fold phyllo with your own hands. No machines, no shortcuts — just real food made the real way.
When they’re baked and bubbling, we’ll sit down under the old big tree and share a homemade Greek meal: your personal spanakopita, a crisp salad, a side of olives, and a lot of chilled local wine. Laughter, conversation, and a few bites of something sweet will finish the evening the Greek way — unrushed, and full of connection.
