The newspaper was first published in September 1976, under the presidency of Georgios Zorzos, with the purpose of bringing together Lerians living abroad and keeping them connected to their roots. Despite the challenges of publishing, the newspaper quickly earned the love and respect of its readers, becoming a symbol of connection to their homeland.
