The museum “DEPOSITO DI GUERRA – IOANNIS PARAPONIARIS”, with authorization from the State Infirmary – General Hospital – Health Center of Leros Administration and the 2nd Regional Health Authority, is taking part in the #EUBeachCleanup 2026 initiative with a special coastal and heritage-site cleanup in Lepida, Leros.

The cleanup will focus on the coastal area of the former Italian seaplane base, which later became the Leros Psychiatric Hospital.

This is a site of significant historical, cultural and environmental value. Through this action, we aim to contribute to its protection, care and preservation, while raising awareness of the importance of keeping our natural and cultural heritage clean and accessible.

Gloves and garbage bags will be provided.
