The Panhellenic Union of Leros

The Panhellenic Union of Leros – Cultural Association- was established in 1964 with the goal of supporting the island of Leros and fostering mutual assistance among its members and friends.

Headquartered in Piraeus at 60-62 Antoniou Theohari and Flessa Streets, the association operates in both Attica and Leros. Our membership includes Leros expatriates and friends of the island.

Our association focuses on cultural, social, and charitable endeavors. The Panhellenic Union of Leros actively works to preserve the cultural heritage, traditions, values, and customs of the island. Among our various initiatives, we organize educational events, provide aid to less fortunate Leros natives, offer scholarships to Leros students, and promote tourism in Leros through participation in travel exhibitions. Additionally, we arrange cultural events in Piraeus and Leros, publish history books, and produce the newspaper “Leriaka Nea.”

In furtherance of our mission, we have also organized dance groups for children and adults, comprising 100 dancers who showcase traditional dances from Leros and across Greece at numerous cultural events.
