Founded in November 2019 by tennis enthusiasts, the Leros Tennis Club aims to provide the best sports experience possible. The club uses the municipal tennis court located in Temenia, which has a grass surface. It is a recognized club of the Hellenic Philatelic Tennis Federation (EFOA) and registered in the Register of Sports Clubs.
IONES Tennis Club was founded in 2014 in Lakki Leros, and it has been a member of the Hellenic Tennis Federation since 2019. The Club uses two outdoor lighted quick courts and a Clubhouse with office and locker restrooms.
IONES Tennis Club is a non-profit organization owned by its 120 Members and runs for the benefit of juniors and seniors athletes of Leros Island.
Since 2018, more than 180 athletes from the age of 5 years old up to 63 years old have been practicing and participating in several districts, national and international tournaments.

In the distant 2001, the then commander of Y.N.T.E.L., Spyridon Kapsokavadis, together with his wife, Maria Skiadas, having in their hands the statutes of LEMOT (the first motorcycle club of Greece) and their raw material motorists, then, of Leros, decided to establish a motorcycle club on the island.

Friends of Leros is a non-profit Greek-Italian Cultural Association founded in 2009 with a mission to promote cultural exchange and showcase Leros’ historical and architectural heritage. The association has over 200 regular members, is registered with the competent court of Kos and the Italian Embassy’s registry of cultural organizations in Athens, and has received support from Italian and Greek cultural institutions, including embassies, municipalities, and the air force. Friends of Leros organizes high-level activities, such as concerts, exhibitions, and theater performances, and offers Greek language classes to Italian speakers.
The Panhellenic Union of Leros actively works to preserve the cultural heritage, traditions, values, and customs of the island. Among our various initiatives, we organize educational events, provide aid to less fortunate Leros natives, offer scholarships to Leros students, and promote tourism in Leros through participation in travel exhibitions. Additionally, we arrange cultural events in Piraeus and Leros, publish history books, and produce the newspaper “Leriaka Nea.”
