DESCRIPTION:The Municipality of Leros\, in cooperation with the Holy Metropolis of Leros\, has prepared the following program for the New Year: \nTuesday\, December 31\, 2024: \n\n16:30: Vespers for the Feast of Great Basil at the Holy Church of St. Sophronius (Patriarchate)\, presided over by His Eminence\, the Metropolitan of Leros\, Kalymnos\, and Astypalaia\, Paisios.\n17:30: Cutting of the New Year’s cake of the Holy Metropolis of Leros at the Patriarchate of Alintou.\n\nWednesday\, January 1\, 2025: \n\n10:00: Gathering of officials at the City Hall and a joint procession to the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary.\n10:30: Thanksgiving service at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary\, presided over by His Eminence\, the Metropolitan of Leros\, Kalymnos\, and Astypalaia\, Paisios. Afterwards\, a procession to the City Hall and the cutting of the New Year’s cake by the Mayor of Leros\, Mr. Timotheos Kottais\, in the presence of officials and the public.\nFollowing this\, the representatives of the authorities will visit the Isidorion Ecclesiastical Nursing Home for the cutting of the New Year’s cake.\n\nThis serves as an official invitation.
