Explore some of Leros’s most meaningful and scenic spots with your own car, guided along the way by a local expert. This tour offers a great mix of history, culture, and stunning views—without much walking.
We begin at Agia Kioura Chapel, known for its powerful frescoes painted by political exiles in the 1960s. From there, we head to the picture-perfect Agios Isidoros, a tiny chapel on a rocky islet.
Next is the Castle of the Virgin Mary above Panteli, offering panoramic views and stories from Leros’s Byzantine past. We then stop at the Deposito di Guerra, a small but rich collection of war and folklore items (€2 entry).
A short visit to Asyrmatos, a former WWII communications building, gives insight into the island’s military history. Finally, we end at the War Tunnel Museum, located in original WWII tunnels (€2 entry), for a moving look at the Battle of Leros.
It’s a relaxed, easy tour—perfect for families or anyone who wants to explore Leros by car with guided context.
