SUMMARY:Leros cleanup with Rutgers University
DESCRIPTION:A group of students from Rutgers University\, USA\, is visiting Leros for 10 days as part of a study abroad course titled “The Mediterranean Lifestyle: Tradition and Health Effects.” The program is led by Professor Labros Sidossis\, a devoted resident of Leros\, and is sponsored by the Mediterranean Lifestyle Medicine Institute\, which is headquartered on the island (https://medlifestyle.org/). \nEach year\, two groups of 30–40 students participate in the program during May and June. Their visit culminates in an international conference on the Mediterranean lifestyle\, organized by the Institute. \nAs part of their community service\, the students will contribute to the cleanup of the shoreline in Lakki
